About
Hypertension control rate is low in our country, one of its reasons is resistant hypertension(RH) prevalence rate rises year by year. Therefore, basic research and comprehensive treatment of RH have become a hot spot in the field of hypertension research.
RH accounts for a large proportion of patients with hypertension, and is an independent risk factor for cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, kidney and other target organ damage. However, the effect of symptomatic treatment on RH is limited. Therefore, it is necessary to identify key risk factors and pathogenesis to reduce the incidence of RH and target organ damage.
The occurrence of RH might be the result of the interaction between genes and environmental factors, which is likely to be jointly influenced by multiple gene loci and environmental risk factors. Therefore, the purpose of this study: to find the risk factors related to RH, and these risk factors may serve as important indicators for the prevention and intervention of RH, and to identify the target organ damage of RH, so as to improve the prognosis of RH. If our study is confirmed by more investigators, it will be possible to update clinical practice and even guidelines to bring the risk factors associated with RH under control and reduce the risk of occurrence and progression of RH.
